The Great Easter Egg Hunt
Come down to Headquarters Park for a unique easter egg hunt around Hobsonville. You won’t be searching for chocolate eggs but there is certainly lots of chocolate prizes waiting for those that hunt well!
Event is FREE but bring some $$$ for food trucks etc
Hobby Kidz Club
Hobby Kidz Club is a values-based, after school club where kids can play, create, work collaboratively and have fun while developing social skills with their peers and even make new friends!
Hobby Kidz Club will run during each school term.
Attendance is FREE but pre-registration is required.
There is currently a limit of 10 spaces in this programme.
From our Hobsonville Emergency Resilience Network that helps prepare our community for local emergencies, to our local Hobsonville Emergency Response Group that stands up in some emergencies to provide emergency shelter and/or community response, there is lots going on and there are lots of opportunities to get involved.

host a street / block gathering
with a free $100 food voucher
“Hobsonville Let’s Reconnect” is being facilitated again by Hobsonville Community Trust and will run from December 23 to June 24. We provide $100 local food vouchers to any streets, laneways or blocks in the Hobsonville area that want to get together for a neighbours’ gathering. Minimum of 10 households (although a $50 voucher available for between 5-10 households).
We’ve also got an amazing street resource kit that you can book for free for your gathering. More info here.
C'mon Hobby, Let's Eat
We reckon there’s nothing quite like eating together and making new friends, or chatting with existing ones….especially on a cold, wintery night. “Let’s Eat” is a great opportunity to do just that and to enjoy a range of yummy food too!
We provide the venue & rice (big thanks to Indian Summer) and we just need you to bring a mains dish to share + spread the word and invite others. The night is free but RSVP is required. Open to anyone living in the Hobsonville area.
Our next Let’s Eat will be on Friday 5 July 2024. There will be a Newcomers Evening before then on Friday 14 June 2024.
Art Exhibitions in Headquarters
‘Taking Flight’ is a free historic photography exhibition from the Air Force Museum of New Zealand Photograph Collection. It is displayed throughout the Headquarters Building inbetween other seasonal art exhibitions such as our “Schools – Art on Point” 2023 exhibition.
Come and have a look at our current displays, 9am – 2.45pm, Monday to Friday (except school holidays).
English Group For Migrants
This group is about learning and practicing English together while making new friends and having fun together. Open to all migrants, no matter where you’re from or how much English you have. We all help each other and you can join anytime.
Our sessions run on Thursday mornings, 10am to 11am, at the Headquarters Building during term time.
supporting community initiatives
We believe that a strong, resilient and well connected community is one where a wide range of groups and individuals are contributing to generating a strong sense of belonging.
We provide practical support, insight and resourcing to groups and initiatives that want to help make a positive contribution to the Hobsonville area. Whether it’s a clothes swap event that help makes our community more sustainable or a new way to bring people together, let us know if you need help and we will support however we can.
Street Resource Kit
Hobsonville Community Trust has an amazing street resource kit that is available for community events, block/street parties and other gatherings. The kit is free to use and has been made possible by a range of supporters over the years including Upper Harbour Board, Harcourts Cooper & Co, and Ryman Healthcare.

Since the early beginnings of Hobsonville Point and Scott Point, we have had a focus on helping our communities to be well informed and their needs advocated for. We help with connecting residents and groups with potential new partners, sources of knowledge, and resourcing.
We provide support to those struggling and are passionate about growing community resiliency and well-being.
Community connection and well-being
Hobsonville Community Trust hosts a range of connection points for our community from summer fun in the park to barn dances, movie evenings and newcomers gatherings through to our weekly coffee & chat and social indoor bowls. We adapt to the needs of our community working closely with a range of partners, Auckland Council, Upper Harbour Board and community groups.
